2019 Women to Watch Honoree
Erin Scanlon is an Audit & Assurance partner in Deloitte’s New York office and leads the firm’s US Telecom, Media & Entertainment (TM&E) Audit & Assurance practice. Erin joined Deloitte in 1987 and was admitted as a partner in 1998. She has led engagements for many of the firm’s largest and most complex clients and serves as a national industry resource to other Deloitte practitioners in the TM&E industry. Erin has significant experience leading audits for global companies having managed client service teams in numerous countries, including the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Japan. Erin also has extensive experience with industry-related complex transactions, accounting issues, SEC registrations, and compliance matters and has served as an Engagement Quality Control Review Partner (EQCR) on several of the firm’s public and private clients.
Erin is a “hands on” client service partner who excels in understanding her client’s business and issues. Her management style focuses on early identification and management of issues so they are resolved promptly with the appropriate level of consultation. Erin currently serves as the lead client service partner (LCSP) and lead audit partner for several major TM&E clients.
In Erin’s role as the firm’s US TM&E leader, she drives the growth, quality and deployment strategies for the firm’s most strategic existing and emerging audit clients. Erin has served in various leadership roles for Deloitte’s Women’s Initiative Network (WIN), including her current role as the WIN Champion for Villanova University, where she is a frequent guest speaker. Erin is also the current Board President for Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City. In 2018, Crain’s New York Business named Erin to its inaugural list of Notable Women in Accounting and Consulting. This list aims to honor the professional, civic, and philanthropic achievements of notable business leaders, as well as the impact they have had on their organizations and New York City.
