Melissa Tolchin serves as Senior Vice President, Partner Marketing, Content Distribution, NBCUniversal. In this role, Tolchin oversees affiliate marketing for NBCUniversal’s content portfolio consisting of top-rated broadcast and cable networks, including NBC, Telemundo, Bravo, CNBC, E!, Golf Channel, SYFY, MSNBC, NBCSN, Olympics Channel: Home of Team USA, Oxygen, USA, Universo, NBC Sports Regional Sports Networks, as well as the Olympics and FIFA World Cup. Tolchin also sets strategic marketing direction for NBCUniversal’s network portfolio, driving distribution, revenue growth and drawing value from traditional, digital and SVOD partners. Tolchin reports to Mac Budill, President of Networks Distribution, Content Distribution, NBCUniversal.
Most recently, Tolchin was pivotal to the development and execution of key distribution renewal campaigns, helping to secure significant carriage agreements for NBCUniversal’s portfolio of top-rated content with leading distributors. Tolchin also helped to deliver record-breaking promotion for the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics and FIFA World Cup on Telemundo. Tolchin was instrumental to the conception of NBCUniversal’s award-winning local ad sales promotion program, which continues to generate millions of dollars in media value. Tolchin manages a multi-disciplinary team of nineteen that focuses on cross-portfolio initiatives with distribution partners, covering Partner Strategy & Analytics, Partner Marketing, Digital Product Marketing, Local Ad Sales, Integrated Marketing and Event Planning.
Tolchin is an active member of WICT and CTAM and was selected for WICT’s Betsy Magness Leadership Institute Class 2011, and was honored as one of Multichannel’s “40 under 40” in 2009. She was also selected for the Cable Executive Management at Harvard Business School program (CTAM U) in 2006.
Tolchin graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor in Consumer Economics, and a concentration in Communications. Tolchin resides in Westchester, NY with her husband, son and daughter.
